beach treverven caravan site cornwall

Treverven in Cornwall is a centre for the many activities and attractions that are available close by. These offer choices that will interest every type of visitor.

The beautiful “Blue Flag” beach at Sennen has all the facilities for the family, as well as surfing for expert and beginner. There are many other beaches around this section of coast such as Porthcurno and Gwenver, and those smaller and more picturesque, for example Porthchapel and Porthgwarra where some of the BBC's Poldark series was filmed.

From the park a 10 minute walk will reach the South West Coast path, with its beautiful walks in both directions. To the west Porthcurno and the Minack Theatre, and to the east Lamorna Cove and Mousehole, from which the magnificent coastal scenery can be enjoyed and many small coves and beaches accessed. Rock fishing is within walking distance of the park, whilst not far away boat, shore and beach fishing can be found.

The nearest village of St. Buryan has shops, post office, public house, garage and churches.

A little further away is the quaint fishing village of St Ives with the Tate Modern gallery; many other small galleries as well as restaurants and shops.

Penzance is the nearest town with rail, bus and coach links and of course the Heliport and Harbour with air or sea travel to the Isles of Scilly. It also offers a wide variety of shops, supermarkets and restaurants.

Just a short distance from Penzance is the ancient village of Marazion, with its lovely beaches and amenities, and just out to sea is the island castle of St Michaels Mount, which at low tide people reach by the causeway and at high tidesmall ferries, ferry people to and from the island.

Alternative air travel to the Isles of Scilly can be taken from Lands End airport.

Nestling on the rocks close by is the unique Minack Theatre, which has regular outdoor shows, in its spectacular setting, throughout the summer season.

There are many ancient Cornish Sites with their Bronze Age stones still well preserved. The picturesque fishing village of Mousehole is nearby, and of course a visit to Lands End for the sunset is high on many tourists lists.

Whatever your preference, whether it be relaxation or more vigorous activity, there is an endless list to choose from in the area.
